Your menu, or just your 3โ4 best-sellers to begin with
The 10-minute setup at a glance
Step | What you do | Time |
|---|---|---|
1. Create your account | Email, password, cafe name, 6-digit PIN | 2 min |
2. Learn the home screen | New Order, Today's Sales, Active Queue, checklist | 1 min |
3. Add your menu | Categories, items, prices, option groups, tax mode | 3 min |
4. Add your team | Invite staff by email and pick roles | 2 min |
5. First sale | Practice sale, then a real one | 2 min |
Step 1: Create your account
Go to pointbunny.com and start your free sign-up.
Enter your email, choose a password and click the verification link in your inbox.
Answer the short setup: your cafe's name appears on receipts and across the app.
Set the 6-digit PIN you'll use at the register.
You start on the Free plan, with no monthly fee, and can upgrade to Pro ($19/month) anytime.
Step 2: Find your way around
Your home screen shows:
New Order, where every sale starts
Today's Sales, Transactions and Avg. Serving across the top
Active Queue, the orders in progress
Getting Started, a checklist for items, taxes and fees, inventory, receipts, team and your first sale
Step 3: Add your menu
In Getting Started, tap Add Items.
Create a few categories, such as Coffee and Pastries.
Add each item with a name and price, plus an emoji (โ Latte, ๐ฅ Croissant) or a photo so tiles are easy to spot in a rush.
Add option groups for sizes, milks or extra shots. The right price follows automatically.
Open Set up taxes & fees and pick your tax mode: no tax, tax added at checkout, or tax included in prices.
Tip: start with your top sellers and add the rest later.
Step 4: Add your team
In Getting Started, tap Set Up next to Set up your team.
Invite staff by email. Each person gets their own login, a role (Admin, Manager or Cashier) and their own PIN.
The Free plan includes 1 staff account; Pro adds unlimited staff plus the PIN time clock and timesheets.
Working solo? Skip this step. You're already set up as the cashier.
Step 5: Ring up your first sale
Try the guided tutorial first. Its practice sale is never saved.
Tap New Order, then tap item tiles (say, a Latte and a Croissant).
Go to Checkout, pick Dine In or Takeout, add a discount if needed and check the total.
Choose how the customer paid:
Cash: enter the amount received, check the change due, then Confirm & Print. No printer? Close the print window; the sale is still recorded.
Card or QR: Pointbunny records payments but doesn't process them. Take the payment first, then tap Card or QR, because tapping it records the sale right away.
